Al Porter won the coveted award for the Gala TV Rising Star at last night’s IFTAs -and he celebrated the big win in style!
He had some tough competition for the prestigious award and was nominated alongside ‘Getaways’ presenter Angela Scanlon, Comedian and Republic of Telly’s Kevin McGahern, Movie Show host Máire Treasa Ní Dhubhghail, model and DJ Vogue Williams and seasoned presenter, Darren Kennedy.
The Tallaght native’s comic talent won in the end and he took to Instagram this morning to share a photo of himself holding the award looking a little bit tired after a night of celebrating.
He captioned the photo saying, “Good Morning!!”
Luckily, his pal Angela Scanlon wasn’t too disappointed that she lost out to Al and she took to Twitter to praise the funnyman.
