The mum-of-two has just taken a month of parental leave from TV3 to spend some quality time with her two sons, 3 year old Patrick and 19 month old Louis.
Aisling also wanted to have some time to spend with her husband Nick MacInnes, who has just been undergoing chemotherapy for leukemia.
The presenter told The Diary that she was in the south of France and finally getting time to relax.
“I’m in the south of France with family enjoying the sunshine and finally getting to swim in the sea and build sand castles,” she said.
Aisling has also admitted that she has found striking the balance between work and family life very difficult, but she is thankful to be able to take this time off.
“People are always like ‘can you balance it?’ Well the answer is, ‘no, I cannot balance it.’ I don’t balance it well at all” she told The Daily Mail.
Regardless of this, the Xpose front woman said that the job is one which suits her as a mum: “Xpose is a great show and it suits me as a mom in that the hours are flexible.”
