Aisling O’Loughlin raised a few eyebrows yesterday due to her outfit choice on Xposé, but has since hit back at the online trolls.

The presenter wore a dress by Natalie B.Coleman, and viewers of the show were quick to share their disgust at her choice.

One user described her as a “rural Lady Gaga,” while another commented that her dress looked like a “hot cross bun.”

A viewer also said, “Has Aisling lost a bet or has she actually chosen to go out in public like that?!”

While another commented, “Fashion police for Ms O’Loughlin immediately.”

Despite the harsh criticism, Aisling hit back at their comments, and said she doesn’t care what they think once she’s happy and comfortable.

Speaking to the Irish Mirror, she said, “ To be honest, it doesn’t bother me at all. I loved the dress and I’m the one who was wearing it, so that’s really all that matters.

“I love Natalie B. Coleman’s designs. They’re all about having fun and being playful with fashion, and that’s something that really appeals to me.

“I like taking risks with what I wear. Fashion is about having fun and expressing yourself.

“I read two or three of the tweets and then left it at that. I suppose I’m fair game because I’m on tv and it’s an entertainment and fashion show.

“The only worry I have is that wearing a designer like Natalie, you want to do their designs justice so that bothers me a bit that they’re about her dress that I’m wearing.”
