The Hayu STELLAR InstaStar Awards took place last Saturday night and it was the hottest ticket in town.
VIP was there to catch up with our fave stars, eye up the glamour and report all the action back to you!
We chatted to the lovely Aideen Kate Murphy, who won the Beauty InstaStar Award on the night.
Although she went home with the trophy Aideen exclusively told VIP that she was quite nervous about the awards beforehand;
“It’s the first big event in like two years, I’m really excited, I’m obviously really excited to be nominated and I’m actually a bit nervous. I’ve been nominated a few times and I’ve never won anything before, so who knows what’s going to happen tonight.
“I definitely feel a bit nervy especially because it’s the first event in so long and everyone’s watching so, It’s a little bit scary.”
Aideen won in the end and was super grateful for the award, she took to Instagram stories after the awards to thank her followers for voting saying, “I’m so grateful, It was crazy, first time I’ve ever won anything.
“I’ve been doing this since like 2014 and obviously that’s a long time ago now, I’m just so grateful that I got a bit of recognition for my work.
“It’s literally my entire life, It’s my career so It just feels good, I’m very happy!”
Aideen looked amazing on the night in a gorgeous black number, arriving with her bestie and fellow makeup artist Keilidh Cashell.
VIP asked Aideen what her must-have beauty item is at the moment and in true supportive best friend fashion she raved about Keilidh’s KASH Beauty products.
“Probably cream blush, I’m obsessed, I wear it everyday I love it so much. The KASH Beauty ones are so good.
“To be honest, I have a lot in my collection at this point, so I kind of switch it up a little bit, but I wear it all the time.”
As for what’s next for Aideen? She has a lot of exciting travel plans on the way and we are looking forward to seeing where she’s off to!
“I’m definitely going to do more travelling [in the new year], I have lots of things planned that way.
“Work wise I’m hoping I’m just as busy as ever, hopefully some exciting things happening next year, but yeah we will just see how it goes, everything’s very unpredictable these days after everything that’s happened, so I just don’t want to get too excited about anything,” she said.
Aideen and her boyfriend Dave had planned to move to Australia pre-pandemic, but their plans got halted as the restrictions tightened, we asked if their travel plans involve a move anytime soon.
“No I think definitely for now, we’re going to be staying put, but, who knows. I do think for now we will be staying in Dublin, for sure!” she said.
