Fair City fans rejoice, as the show will be back on our screens very soon.
The popular RTE soap had to stop filming a few months ago due to Covid-19, however, with special guidelines in place and strict social distancing measures, they’re ready to start the cameras rolling again.
Brigie deCourcy, Series Producer, said: “It has been our priority that these systems were in place before committing to a return date so that we could protect the health and well-being of our actors, writers, directors and crew.
“We have been eager to get back to production, but the priority was the health and safety of the whole team. Everyone is delighted that we are now in a position to get back to telling stories and bringing fun and chaos back to Carrigstown.”
The show will start airing again in early September.
While they’ll be showing three episodes a week, RTE plan to film four to have some episodes backed up incase the worst was to happen again.
One thing is for sure, we can’t wait to see all of our favourites back on our screen!
