2FM presenter Jenny Greene has opened up about her impending wedding, revealing that the theme is something completely out of the box.
The radio star admitted that it’ll be an outdoor event; “a sort of festival.”
Jenny and her fiancé Kelly Keogh are due to walk down the aisle on June 24, and as they’re staying away from the typical, traditional aspects of the wedding day itself, she’s less stressed about the whole thing.
Speaking to The Herald, Jenny said, “It’s a different kind of wedding, and we didn’t have to follow any of the usual traditions, which is great – so it makes it a bit more exciting and less stressful.
“We’re just doing last minute bits and pieces. It won’t be long coming around, but it’s exciting. I want to look forward to it instead of getting stressed, but we’ve managed to be pretty laid back about it so far.”
The presenter also admitted that both her and Kelly’s parents couldn’t be more excited for their big day.
“If I think back a few years ago, I never thought we would [marry], and I personally never had an interest in getting civil-partnered. I thought we’d either get married or we won’t, so to be able to do that, and have a full-on, proper wedding is brilliant. Our parents are so excited,” she said.
Sounds like it’ll be a day to remember!
