Fans of Strictly Come Dancing rejoice as the hit reality show may be coming to Ireland soon.
Tv presenter Bláthnaid Ní Chofaigh has revealed that she is in talks with RTÉ about doing an Irish version of the BBC show, and we are seriously excited!
“There is talk of Strictly, and I’d love to host it and keep it going,” she said. “I can dance – I won a local Strictly competition – so Id be up for it if they asked me. The BBC show is such a wonderful family production.”
Bláthnaid also told the Herald that she would consider leaving the broadcaster if it meant she could pursue new projects in the future.
“Of course I would. I’m 45, so the last thing I should be saying is that, but I’m not saying that. I would (leave) if there was an opportunity,” she commented.
“What might have scared me in my 30s, doesn’t scare me now – I’m in my 40s now. I know college fees have to be paid and all of that, but they will be paid.”
