Pierce Brosnan has been spotted around his native Ireland as of late, filming new revenge thriller, I.T, starring himself and British actor, Anna Friel.
When he hasn’t been filming, Pierce has been taking in the sights of Ireland and reminiscing on his childhood. The Die Another Day star was born in Drogheda but grew up in Navan, Co. Meath, and has been showing his wife Keely where he spent his time as a child.
Posting pics of himself in front of the Navan Palace Theatre, against the wall of a country lane, and of a day trip to Dalkey, Pierce and his wife look adorable and so in love! Captioning one of the snaps as: “It took me the world to find her and there she was today down the country lane of my childhood memory leaning lovely against the wall..” So poetic Pierce!
That’s a wrap on my movie “I.T.” And good bye Ireland you beautiful Colleen… To one and all who stood shoulder to shoulder in making this movie…. My love and thanks A photo posted by Pierce Brosnan (@piercebrosnanofficial) on
As filming has wrapped on his new movie, Pierce has taken to his Insta and posted emotional goodbyes to Ireland, “the beautiful Colleen” (we’ll forgive him for the spelling mistake!). He also states that Ireland is still his home after all this years of wandering, and we’re delighted to hear it.
Good bye my sweet home of Ireland that I can call you now after all these years abroad a wandering…this is the Rock from the movie Camelot directed by Mr John Boorman, it sits in a valley called Luggala a land of magic mystery song and dance… In the movie young Arthur pulls the sword from its back … A photo posted by Pierce Brosnan (@piercebrosnanofficial) on
