Amazing news for Mairead Ronan today, as herself and husband Louis Ronan welcomed a baby girl into the world.
Today FM presenter and close friend Ian Dempsey took to social media today to share the news and congratulate the radio producer on her new arrival.
On Twitter he wrote, “‘Producers Gonna Produce.’ Congratulations @cocomairead, Louis and big brother Dara- baby Eliza Ronan has entered our world. #ELIZA.”
Last month Mairead exclusively told VIP Magazine that she was felt extremely lucky to be having another child and wasn’t sure of the sex of the baby.
She did say, however, that for one reason or another her 9-year-old son Dara was calling the baby Elizabeth- perhaps they took name inspiration from that?
“I do feel very, very lucky. Not everyone gets that chance when a marriage breaks down to get married again when another child is possible. I’ve been very lucky.
“He’s (Dara) so excited. He’s calling the baby Elizabeth. We don’t know where that came from and it will be kind of awkward if it’s a boy,” she said.
