The National Television Awards took place in London’s 02 Arena last night and the Irish stars did us proud, taking home three major awards.
Wexford man Dermot O’Leary also flew the flag for Ireland, presenting the glamorous event for the eighth year in a row, and was a pro as always.
Much-loved comedian Graham Norton was awarded with the NTA’s Special Recognition Award and celebs such as Will Smith and Dolly Parton were on hand to pay tribute to him.

Other big wins for the Irish last night included Mrs. Brown’s Boys taking home the award for Best Comedy, beating out worthy opponents such as Orange Is The New Black and The Big Bang Theory.
Eamonn Holmes and Ruth Langsford also took home an NTA, as This Morning won in the Best Live Magazine Show category. The show tweeted their delight after their win saying, “Thank you to EVERYONE who voted – this really does mean a lot to us! #NTAs.”
