George McMahon has revealed that he feels incredibly lucky to have had his baby naturally, without complications.
The actor revealed he got emotional watching a documentary called Babymakers, which follows couples who struggle with fertility in the quest to have a child.
The series which aired on TV3 evoked a huge response from parents and people everywhere, and also for George, who began a dad last month.
Taking to Twitter, George said: “Watching #Babymakers on TV3 and I can’t help but feel so lucky,”
He added: “Heartbreaking to watch these brave couples go to the ends of the earth to make their babies.”
The Fair City star’s followers agreed with the star, adding that it can be a difficult conversation topic.
“People need to be more mindful when it comes to personal matters,” George said.
He added that questions about starting a family can be: “so intrusive and presumptive. people can be very ignorant.”
On Sunday the star celebrated his first Father’s Day after welcoming his daughter Frankie with his partner Rachel Smyth.
She shared an adorable snap of the pair snuggling.
“Happy first Father’s Day!!” she said.
“Thank you for being the best Daddy in the world! We love you to the moon and back.”
