Filming for Blake Lively’s upcoming movie The Rhythm Section has reportedly shut down due to injury.
While shooting scenes in Dublin in December, Blake injured her hand during a stunt.
At the time, filming was temporarily suspended for recovery, but The Hollywood Reporter says the movie’s release could now be in jeopardy.
It was reported that first surgery did not go to plan and now the actress, who is married to Ryan Reynolds, may need another operation.
An insider claimed that less than half the movie has been shot and it is unclear when filming will resume.
The Rhythm Section was initially expected to be released in the US February 22, 2019, but it is unclear if this still stands.
Producers said in a statement: “Hiatus on the production of The Rhythm Section has been extended due to the hand injury Blake Lively sustained while filming an action sequence on the action thriller at the end of last year.”
