BBC forced to reveal how much money Graham Norton makes

The BBC have been forced to reveal how much its staff make per year.

The company were told in November last year that they would have to disclose earnings of anyone paid over £150,000.

This will include to salary of Cork man Graham Norton, who presents a chat show and radio show for the BBC.

Graham Norton is believed be paid the highest among the staff at a whopping £2.5 million.

Norton hosts the self-titles television chat show, the BBC Radio 2 Saturday programme and also fronts the Eurovision coverage on the channel.

The Telegraph reported that he was paid the £2.5 million for “presenter fees, production fees and royalties” in 2015.

Figures will officially make the announcement a little later today along with the BBC’s annual report.

The corporation has already admitted that there is a disparity between the pay of male and female employees.

Director general Tony Hall said: “At the moment, of the talent earning over £150,000, two-thirds are men and one-third are women. Is that where we want to be? No. Are we pushing further and faster than any other major broadcaster? Most certainly,”
