Congratulations are in order for Al Porter today, as the 23-year-old has just been announced as a new presenter for Today FM.
The radio station announced the new signing for its lunchtime show on social media this morning. Al joined Dermot and Dave live in studio shortly after 11am, and the exciting announcement was filmed live on the station’s Facebook page.
From the 13th of February the Tallaght native will be joining the Today FM team, with his own afternoon show from 12-2pm daily.
Taking to Twitter himself to share the excitement with his fans, the comedian posted a pic of himself inside the studio and said, “Delighted is an understatement!! Can’t wait to join the @todayfm family and chat to you at lunchtime!”
The station also expressed their delight at Al joining their family. They wrote, “Lunch is on you, Al! Welcome! Roll on the 13th Feb, just in time to be our Valentine.”
