Wet, cold and miserable – with worse weather still to come! Met Eireann have issued a warning ahead of the arrival of Storm Diana on Wednesday.

While there’s set to be strong winds and constant showers today, it’ll continue to worsen throughout the week, with possibilities of spot flooding.

According to Met Eireann, “Tonight will be wet and windy again. The north and east will begin dry, but rain elsewhere will quickly spread countrywide along with low cloud and mist. Southerly winds will increase very strong with gale gusts.

“Tomorrow Wednesday will be a very windy day with strong to gale force and very blustery winds, southeast veering southwest. Some heavy rain at times, especially across the north and west.”

An orange status weather warning has been issued to Cork, Kerry, Waterford, Wexford, Galway and Clare, while the rest of the country is status yellow.

Wrap up well, folks!
