Una Healy’s mother Anne has broken the family’s silence since the news broke that the star was separating from her rugby player husband Ben Foden.
Just this weekend, the former Saturday’s star brought her two young kids back home to Thurles to be with her family, as cheating rumours emerged about 33-year-old Ben.
The pair married back in 2012, and when asked for a comment, Una’s mother simply said it was a difficult time.
“It’s not the right time. It’s tough. It’s tough. It’s really hard.” she told The Irish Sun.
Despite just recently revealing the family’s intentions to move together to New York, where Ben is joining a new rugby club, the beauty made the decision to end the relationship after she confronted her husband over the weekend.
“Everyone was looking forward to the move, but Una had become suspicious about Ben’s behaviour,” a source told The Sun.
“Then this week enough was enough and she just confronted him.
“She has now decided it’s over. She is utterly heartbroken and devastated, but she’s very traditional in her outlook.
“She thought their marriage would be forever, but can’t see a future for them anymore.”
