A batch of sweets have been withdrawn from sale due to the risk of injury.
The Wonkandy Small New York Cakes had sharp plastic sticks on some of the sweets which could cause damage to customers.
The sweets have a best before date of 30/11/2017 and a batch code of 001-16-170116
The FSAI was advised that there may be a similar issue with the other Wonkandy confectionery products.
These are Cake Large New York, Cake Big Rosa, Cake Big Primavera, Cake Big Arco Iris, Cake Small Primavera, Cake Small Croissant, Cake Small Tutti Frutti Red and Cake Small Tutti Frutti Blue.
So if you’ve got these in your cupboard make sure to check the batch code to avoid risk of serious injury.
