Tesco has issued a product recall due to an error made within one of their products.
The supermarket revealed that it is recalling a chocolate cake product due to allergy fears.
The cake, which was incorrectly packed with carrot cake in some incidences, contains walnuts, posing a risk to those who are allergic to nuts.
Its statement read: “Tesco is recalling a batch of its Finest Chocolate Cake as some of it was incorrectly packed with carrot cake.
“The carrot cake contains walnuts which are undeclared on the label. This may make the batch unsafe for consumers who are allergic to or intolerant of walnuts.”
The affected batch has a best before date of January 17th 2018.
The batch number is D32/18003.
