Temperatures across the country are set to take a plunge this week, and wintery conditions are expected!

The winter months have so far been mild, but Met Eireann’s weather forecast for the upcoming week shows cold conditions with a chance of snow and frost.

“Lowest temperatures will fall to between -3C and +2C with a widespread frost forming and a risk of icy patches on untreated surfaces. Light west to northwest breezes, becoming southwest by dawn.” Met Eireann said.

“Monday morning will be cold and dry with mist, fog and frost clearing. There’ll be sunny spells in the east.

“However, rain will develop along the west coast by noon and will spread eastwards across the country through the afternoon and evening.
