Musical icon Sting jetted into Dublin for the opening night of his new show, The Last Ship, which is running in the Bord Gais Energy Theatre for the remainder of the week.
The production, which stars Richard Fleeshman, Charlie Hardwick, Joe McGann and Frances McNamee, tells the story of a community amid the demise of a shipbuilding industry in Wallsend.
Guests including Caitriona Perry, Joe Duffy and Marty Whelan were in attendance for the VIP opening night.
