Westlife are back and better than ever, as they embark on their Wild Dream tour. But even with all the travelling Shane Filan is still prioritising family time.
Taking his sons Patrick and Shane Junior to a Sligo football match, Shane shared a rare snap as they enjoyed the day out.
Sharing the picture on Instagram, the singer captioned his post: “Great to be home & bring my boys to the showgrounds to see [Sligo Rovers] win against [Motherwell FC]!”
“What a night !! & what a game. 2-0 on the night & 3-0 overall. Congrats to all @sligorovers…it was amazing to watch all the rovers fans!”
Shane has really been making sure to prioritise his family during this tour, even celebrating his daughter Nicole birthday during one of their gigs.
The band was performing last week in Scarborough, but it was also Nicole’s 17th birthday. So the Sligo man decided to combine the two and honour Nicole’s birthday during the gig.
Asking the packed stadium to sing Happy Birthday for his daughter. Saying: “It’s my daughter’s 17th birthday and I’d like to send her a little message from Scarborough just to show how much we all love her.
“I’d like you to sing her happy birthday with me”.
Of course the crowd agreed, and serenaded the birthday girl along with her dad, who was singing on stage.
Afterwards he thanked the audience for helping him honour Nicole’s 17th.
Telling the crowd: “That’s the best birthday present I could give her so thank you very much.”
The proud dad also posted a sweet tribute to Nicole on Instagram, sharing a picture of them together.
He captioned the post: “Happy 17th Birthday to my Princess Nicole.. your such a beautiful person & even better daughter .. Im so proud of you & love you so much !!! See you very soon”
