Irish actor Pierce Brosnan has become a grandfather for the third time as his son Sean welcomed a baby girl to the family earlier today.
Sean married Hollywood actor and film producer, Sanja Banic, last year in an intimate ceremony in New York. This is the couple’s first baby together, and they couldn’t be happier.
The delighted new grandfather took to Instagram this morning to share the good news.
He posted a picture of his son Sean cradling the new baby, Marley, alongside the caption, “My darling Sean with his baby girl Marley May Cassandra. What an utter joy to be her grandpa… beautiful life.”
Marley May Cassandra was named after her grandmother and Pierce’s first wife, Cassandra Harris, who died from ovarian cancer in 1991.
This is Pierce’s third grandchild. His late daughter Charlotte, who also passed away from ovarian cancer in 2013, had two children: Isabelle Sophie who is now 17, and Lucas who is 10.
The pair have been doted on by their grandfather Pierce, and there’s no doubt this baby will be given just as much love and attention.
The happy news comes after Pierce flew back to Dublin recently to film new movie I.T, happily posing with fans in his hometown.
