Michelle Keegan shares her expert styling tips and new stunning winter capsule collection

If there’s a woman who knows something about style, it’s Michelle Keegan.

The star may be best known currently for her role in the wildly popular Netflix series Fool Me Once, but she’s also got a serious eye for fashion – both on and off the red carpet.

Michelle has just unveiled her latest gorgeous 29-piece collection with Very, and with prices starting at just €32, there truly is something for everybody in this range.

The new collection features beautiful neutral tones, stunning tailoring, and stylish winter warmers, to ensure that you can build the perfect capsule wardrobe during the colder months.

You can check out the new range here (how gorgeous are those knitwear pieces?), but if that wasn’t enough for you, Michelle has also shared her top styling tips for winter – and yes, we’re listening.

“For 2024 I’m going back to basics, so the inspiration behind my latest Very collection is neutral tones with a pop of colour,” she says. “I want everyone to be able to add the pieces to their capsule wardrobe and build on their aesthetic, whilst still feeling cosy this winter.”

You can check out Michelle’s advice below:

1: Tailoring and Trainers

“My go-to look for the colder months is definitely pairing tailoring such as blazers and smart trousers with trainers,” says Michelle – and luckily, her new Very collection includes some chic tailoring to help you create the perfect smart/casual look.

Pair the Cropped Button Blazer [€58] and the Cuff Detail Trouser – Camel [€45] with a pair of your favourite trainers to achieve this timeless look.

2: Colour Blocking

Minimalist or not, colour blocking is one of the simplest ways to create a look that is cool and striking this winter. For Michelle, it’s one of her fundamentals when it comes to her wardrobe.

Add a pop of colour to a neutral, and watch your outfit come to life. Why not try the Cuff Detail Trouser – Black [€45] with the V Neck Panel Detail Knitted Top – Olive [€38] for a statement look that’s sure to be turning heads?

Or why not pair the Asym Stripe High Neck Knitted Top – Blush [€38] with the Wrap Wide Leg Trouser [€45] for a more muted, but still chic, look?

3: Layering and Textures

It’s winter, so chances are you’re going to want to be wearing a lot of layers. Thankfully, layering is all the rage these days and is also one of Michelle’s top tips.

“Building out my capsule wardrobe has been my goal this year and I think textures and layering are super key to styling different looks,” she says.

“We all know I love a co-ord and one of my favourites from this collection is the Textured Round Neck Top Co-Ord – Black [€32] with the Textured Wide Leg Jogger – Black [€32]. The textured material adds another element to the outfit – without being too bold!”.

Add to the look by popping on the Premium Textured Bomber Jacket – Cream [€70] – a piece that can be worn casually or as part of a more dressy look.

Michelle’s stunning new 29-piece collection is available to buy on Very.ie now.
