Casa Amor is the segment us Love Island viewers wait patiently for every year. It’s the portion of the show that generally brings the most drama and this year has come to an end in one of the most dramatic recouplings in the show’s history.
Fans were shocked this week as Irish islander Catherine Agbaje walked through the doors of the villa with Casa Amor boy, Elom Ahlijah-Wilson, 22; choosing to forget about her connection with Scott van der Sluis.
As the recoupling aired last night fans of the hit reality dating show took to Twitter to share their thoughts.
One fan wrote: “Catherine literally threw that 50k in the bin… #loveisland.”
Another commented: “CATHERINE HOW CAN YOU DO THIS TO US, WE COULDVE GOTTEN YALL THAT 50K.”
While another added: “I fell to my knees when she came back with Elom.”
Others, however, took to Twitter to praise Catherine for playing the Love Island game, and keeping a tense amount of drama in the villa.
Many were also convinced that she and Scott will eventually get back together anyway, making their coupling even stronger.
Viewers were rooting for Catherine and Scott to win the show together after they hit things off almost immediately following Scott’s arrival in the villa.
Things seemed to be going well for the pair in the lead-up to Casa Amor despite some of the islanders doubting Scott and his motives. The Welsh native pulled his fellow islanders around the firepit before they left for Casa Amor to confront them after he heard his name mentioned behind his back on a number of occasions.
Tyrique was the main culprit believing Scott was playing nothing but a game and wasn’t serious about Catherine at all.
Scott however reassured Catherine and then stayed loyal to her during the Casa Amor recoupling. But when Catherine returned, Scott could be seen getting a little teary eyed – and we can’t lie, our hearts broke for him!
Will the pair get back together Indiyah and Dami style and eventually go on to win the show?
Only time will tell.
