Love is in the air! The perfect spots for a Valentine’s Day break

Luttrellstown Castle

Nestled away in Castleknock, Dublin, Luttrellstown Castle is the perfect place to celebrate Valentine’s Day – nothing says romance quite like swanning around a castle! Enjoy the gorgeous Wish Upon a Castle’afternoon tea in the Van Stry Ballroom, served at either 1pm or 4pm on the 11th, 12th and 13th February. You’ll sample savoury delights including Free Range Truffled Egg Mayonnaise on Multi Seed Bread, Warm Sundried Tomato and Onion Quiche, Slow Roasted Tipperary Sirloin, Red Onion Marmalade on Bretzel Bloomer and Clare Island Smoked Salmon, Wasabi and Lemon Butter on Tomato and Fennel Bread.

As if that wasn’t enough, there’s also some sweet treats such as Strawberry and Champagne Mousse, Ruby Chocolate and Vanilla Cake, Green Tea and Pistachio Roulade and Black Cherry and Rich Chocolate Tart. Yum! Afternoon Tea is €55pp but you can upgrade to Rose Champagne Afternoon Tea for an extra €15 each.

The Montenotte

Whether you’re a local or want to travel a little bit for a getaway this Valentine’s Day, The Montenotte in Cork is the perfect place to stay. The Love at Montenotte Package includes a one or two night stay in an executive bedroom, with breakfast on both mornings. You will enjoy a glass of Prosecco upon arrival as your luggage is delivered directly to your room where chocolate-dipped strawberries will patiently await your arrival.
