2018 was certainly a year to remember for Vogue and Spencer!

The pair, who began dating last year, announced their engagement in February after Spencer popped the question at a Broadway show.

“Our first trip away together was to Disneyland Paris, it felt like the perfect fit,” he said.

“The Lion King is also one of the greatest stories of all time, so I figured that having just had a romantic evening watching it, she’d probably say yes!”

The pair had an incredibly low-key ceremony in August, before welcoming their first son in September.

Anna Geary was made up, as boyfriend of two years Kevin Sexton asked her to marry him in September.

Speaking to VIP Magazine, the bride-to-be said, “It was a complete shock, I didn’t expect it. Kev is unpredictable so I knew he would always catch me off guard.

“It happened at Castlemartyr Hotel, while out for a walk; casual clothes, no one around, very relaxed and no fuss. It was simple, but perfect. It was exactly how he knew I would want it.”

Due to hectic schedules, the pair have no intentions of jumping into wedding plans, and instead want to savour this moment.

“I’m in the middle of exams at the moment but once I’m finished we can turn our attention to planning.

“But for now, it’s nice to be present in the moment and enjoy the engagement excitement, without having to deal with all the organisation of the wedding immediately,” she told us

“It was a big, big surprise and I’m glad it was because I always I thought I’ll definitely know when he’s going to do it, I’ll suss him, but he completely caught me off guard,” Grace told VIP. “He kept trying to put me off!”

While Grace began planning “an outdoorsy, summer wedding,” plans were put on hold as she discovered the couple were expecting their second child.

The couple, who have been together over five years and live together in Australia, were in Oz when he got down on one knee.

“David tricked me into thinking I was going to dinner with his friends. He walked me onto the most incredible secluded beach surrounded by cliffs, and our song playing in the background,” she said.

“We followed white lanterns, leading close to the water and there it was, written in sea shells, the question, ‘Marry me?’.

Just months before welcoming their little daughter Wyatt to the world, Dominic Day popped the question to Nadia Forde.

During a trip to New York in March, the rugby ace got down on one knee, taking her by complete surprise. Laughing about the moment, Nadia revealed she had absolutely “zero chill”.

While she hasn’t divulged details of the big day, the Irish model did reveal how she plans to remember her late mother during the ceremony.

Nadia sent her mother’s vintage christening gown away to be altered, so baby Wyatt could wear it on their big day.

During a romantic trip to Italy in September, Tom Neville popped the question to Jenny Dixon. The couple were enjoying a scenic stroll when the TD got down on one knee.

“I wasn’t expecting it at all,” Jenny told VIP Magazine. “We were out in the Isle of Capris and had almost made it back down the mountain. It was really beautiful. I was lost for words.”

The couple have already been scoping out venues and themes – and confirmed it’ll be a summer wedding.

“Yes, definitely next year!” she revealed. “Maybe July, but we were offered an earlier option too, so we’re sitting down with our vision boards at the moment to see what we’d like best. It’ll be traditional to a point but also have lots of personal touches, to show who we are. Music will be very important to us.”
