Lisa Cannon has revealed some exciting new career plans, as her time on Weekend AM comes towards the end.
The esteemed presenter was covering for Anna Daly while she was away on maternity leave, but as the mum-of-three prepares to return to work, Lisa has been looking into some new ventures.
“I’m going to do other projects with TV3,” she told the RTE Guide.
“I am looking to go between a few of the shows and I’ve also pitched a lot of ideas that I’m interested in doing.”
While she absolutely loves her job, Lisa understands that as things change in the industry, she may be spending more time behind the camera in the future.
“I’m enjoying presenting at the moment, but I am very away that at some point, those doors won’t always be open to me.
“So for sure I will have to go back to my original training; production. All the channels now welcome people who produce and present.
“You need to be multifaceted to be able to survive in this industry. The days of just being a presenter are gone.”
