Kathryn Thomas has opened up about her pregnancy journey.
The TV presenter revealed earlier this month that she is expecting her first child.
She and other-half Padraig McGloughlin are engaged to be married, but the wedding plans have changed since they learned about the pregnancy.
The star previously revealed that the date had been set for late Summer, but they will now focus on the baby, who is due in Spring.
“We are kind of toying with the idea, we kind of set a time and a place and everything else but this has been a long time coming so this is priority for us now.
“This has taken priority. Our friends and family understand that. If we go with it, great. If we go to Vegas the week after the baby, then great. But we’ll make it up as we go along,” she told the Mirror.
The Operation Transformation host also revealed that she is being mindful of how she exercises for the safety of the baby.
“On my doctor’s advice, I eased off on the training. Myself and Padraig had wanted a family for a long time so it was kind of a real blessing for us,
“So under advice, I eased off on the training, eased off on the boot camp, and just slowed down a little bit and now I’m going back to the gym again.”
She also added that she will keep up the fitness regime but at a more gentle pace.
“ I’m taking medical advice and doing what feels right for me. And I know what feels right for me is getting out there twice a week and getting my gym sessions in.
“I’ve cut back on my running, but for me it’s really important to stay healthy and promote the fact that every pregnancy is different and every woman is different – but if you can promote a healthy pregnancy, it’s really important.”
Two weeks ago, Kathryn made the adorable announcement on Instagram.
She shared a photo of her dogs with baby slippers and said: “A little announcement. Excited to let you know myself & Padraig are adding to our little family.
“We’re over the moon and I feel extremely blessed that I’m pregnant. Our next baby might not be as hairy or have a tail like these two but will be equally as cute Roll on Spring time 2018.”
