Dynamic duo Shane Richie and Jessie Wallace A.K.A. Alfie and Kat from Eastenders, spent yesterday at a sit down meal with our very own Michael D. Higgins.
The two are in Ireland filming Redwater, an Eastenders spin-off show which follows the lovebirds search for Kat’s long lost son in a small Irish town.
Shane and Jessie are usually right at home with a pint in the Queen Vic but the pair adapted well to their new surroundings in Aras an Uachtarain.
The actors had a sit down meal with the president and political activist Fionulla Flanagan yesterday afternoon.
Shane took to Twitter to share his excitement: “Absolute honour to meet and have lunch with president of Ireland today @PresidentIRL & Fionulla Flanagan #Redwater”
