Al Porter may be set the host the new revival of Blind Date, but he’s not on the look out for love himself.
The comedian and radio host gushed about his boyfriend, who he’s been seeing for over a year.
“He’s not into showbiz at all. He’s the same age as me, in case people think that I’m going out with some 50-year-old millionaire,” Al told the Irish Sun.
Al added that being in a long-term relationship has meant he’s happy not to move abroad.
“It’s one of the reasons that I’m happy to stay in Ireland. It’s no secret that I was a bit of a slut.
“I’m still flirty and liable to put my foot in it but I’m a bit more like me two years ago after a run. I’ve matured.”
The star is set to host the dating show, as well as his Today FM radio show, and his stand up shows.
And while Al gets plenty of gigs in Ireland, he’s also getting offered jobs overseas.
“I’ve turned down offers for UK panel shows because I don’t want to live in London on my own for three weeks at a time.
“Opportunities come in and I take the ones I fancy.”
