Musicians from across Ireland will join together this month for a charity gig. All proceeds from the shows will go to helping those who are suffering in Syria.

All of the acts involved have waived their fee for the gigs, to encourage other music lovers to donate as much as they can afford to the worthy cause.

Organisers of the charity event aim to make it a week-long affair, kicking off in Dublin. Venues that have been confirmed include The Workmans Club and The Grand Social in Dublin, Music Bar in Derry, and Matt Molloy’s in Westport.

While a wide range of acts will take to the various stages, Workmans Jam for Syria will take place on the 17th of January, where Youth Mass, Dave Conway, Keith Plunkett and Buffalo Sunn and Saramai will perform.
