Hollywood actor John C Reilly has recalled wonderful memories he has of time spent in Ireland. The star is of Irish-American origin as his father’s side hails from the Emerald Isle.
While promoting his new film Kong: Skull Island, John spoke to press about the many trips he’s taken to Ireland and some of the things he’s gotten up to while here- including a good ol’ Irish session!
“The whole side of my father’s family is Irish. I’ve been to Ireland many times. If you look on YouTube, you’ll see quite a few videos of me in pubs singing and carrying on.
“I was in Ireland last summer, I think. I was there for the Galway Film Festival not too long ago. I’ve spent a fair bit of time there.
“I had an amazing family trip there. We rented a boat on the River Shannon and travelled up the River Shannon for seven days together and that was really special, so I’d highly recommend that. It kinda takes you off the beaten path and takes you to the old heart of Ireland,” he said.
