How gorgeous did Caitriona Balfe look on the IFTA red carpet? The Outlander star opted for a tousled style for the awards ceremony and it’s the perfect effortlessly undone look for summer months ahead.
Limerick man and hairstylist to the stars and Gareth Bromell created Caitriona’s look and the main focus was to give her hair volume and movement.
“Caitrona’s new hair haircut is inspired by my favourite haircut of the 70’s – the shag,” he said. “Short with heavy bangs and carved out layers.”
After chopping her hair, Gareth used the Dyson Airwrap with the brand new diffuser attachment which will launch this summer to “create a sexy, lived in texture”.
The tool helps define the hair’s natural curl and gives a gorgeous lift without being too rigid.
Going through the steps, Gareth said, “I prepped the hair with AZ Haircare. I used their sooth serum on towel dried hair for smoothing and volume, then went in with the diffuser attachment on the Dyson Airwrap multi-styler to enhance movement and texture.”
“Once dried I used the AZ Compose Matt Texturiser for separation and definition, finishing with AZ hairspray for a soft hold without stiffness so the hair can move”.
