Ed Sheeran may be a superstar singer in his own right, but he is also a highly skilled songwriter to other stars.

The singer has written tracks such as Justin Bieber’s Love Yourself and One Direction’s Little Things.

Now, the Perfect singer has penned a track for Boyzone’s reunion.

Ronan Keating

Speaking about the upcoming reunion, Ronan Keating revealed he was happy to be working on new music, and working with a talented songwriter.

He also admitted the band turned down a huge opportunity from U2 in the past and doesn’t want to make the same mistake again.

“We turned down U2 when they gave us The Sweetest Thing 20 years ago and that was a huge mistake so Ed Sheeran gives us a song, we won’t be turning that one down,” he told Eoghan McDermott on 2FM.

“It’s ridiculous. I don’t know what happened or how it happened but it was offered to Boyzone and whatever came about, it didn’t work for us or it didn’t sound right.”

The band are also working with the talented Sam Smith for their upcoming album.

“We have gathered a number of tracks. We’re not finished yet, we are still harvesting. We have a track from Ed and one from Sam,” Shane Lynch previously told The Sun.

“The track that Sam’s written, I absolutely adore. I love the record so I hope it goes on the album.

“We are also dealing with some of the guys who worked recently with UK artists from Emeli Sande to Professor Green and Labrinth.”

We can’t wait to hear this album!
