“Life is about to change forever! We’re expecting a little baby arriving this Autumn,” they said.

Now, in an exclusive interview with VIP Magazine, Donal says that he thinks he’ll be a patient parent.

“[I’ll be] supportive and patient, I hope,” he said.

“The one thing that myself and Sofie love doing is having family time together, so spending as much time with family is going to be key.

“You can have all the best-laid plans though… I’m sure we’ll be killing each other over the lack of sleep.”

“Knowing how well she looks after me, I know she’s going to be one of the best mums!

“We have patterns of how we deal with things and when I travel Sofie has loads of free time, and vice versa.

“I think that’s the thing we’re most nervous and excited about, just how different our lives are going to be.
