Anne Nolan has revealed that she fears her own cancer could return after her sister Linda’s devastating diagnosis.

The former singer and performer, who found fame as part of the Nolan Sisters in the seventies, had been given the all clear from breast cancer in 2007, but now the cancer has returned and this time it’s incurable.

Speaking about the heartbreaking diagnosis, Linda said she’s terrified about what’s to come.

“I don’t want to die. All my little nieces and nephews, my step-children and step-grandchildren; they are my life now because I never had children.” she told the Daily Mirror. “There is so much I want to do. I have to be positive and make sure I do. I am really scared.”

Linda’s heartbreaking diagnosis has left her sister, Anne, worried about the chance of her own disease returning, after previously beating breast cancer.

“When I first found out about Linda my first thought was for her. But then I did start to feel scared for myself. I thought, ‘Is this going to happen to me as well?’ I know that’s selfish, but you can’t help but think it,” Anne told Daily Star on Sunday.

“Ever since I had cancer I have tried to forget about it and put it to the back of my mind. But Linda’s situation has brought it all back, especially because Linda previously had it too.

“If it comes back, there’s not much I can do about it. You have to live your life the best you can because the only other choice you’ve got is to lie down and die.”

The Nolans lost their sister Bernie to breast cancer in 2013.

Our thoughts go out to Linda and all the Nolan family at this difficult time.
