Aldi have issued a recall on their frozen vegetables as a customer discovers half a dead rat in the product.

The Supermarket chain is investigating the incident, after a woman made the gruesome discovery while feeding her grand-daughter.

“We had eaten almost all of the bag before we saw it – and what’s even worse – I fed it to my youngest granddaughter,” Pat Bateman told The Sun.

“It’s a wonder none of us ended up physically ill.”

The mixed frozen vegetable products have now been removed from shelves, and Aldi have now issued the following statement:

“Following Mrs Bateman’s complaint, we removed this product from sale to prevent any further issues.

“We have suspended all orders from this production site whilst we investigate this matter.”
