Al Porter has landed an exciting new radio role.

The comedian is working with the BBC on a radio series about his life.

The autobiographical four-part series will focus on Al’s love of comedy and how it shaped him as a person.

Al has been kept busy with his various different projects, the star has plenty of experience in radio because of his show on Today FM.

He is also presenting the Irish version of Blind Date, airing on TV3 this season.

The star revealed that he was delighted with his new role due to the structure it brings.

“I’m really really enjoying it but I think it has been good for my head.

“Whatever about my career, it has been good for me to go to an office every day and meet the same people and get into routine.”

The show will air next year.
