Irish broadcaster Dave Fanning has shared one of his favourite memories from one of his many interviews with pals, U2.
The RTE DJ has reminisced about a time the group stripped down and drank beer during a radio broadcast back in 1987.
Speaking to the Irish Independent, Dave said, “They came into the studio a few days before the concert and Bono was like, ‘We’d love to change things up, change the dynamic of the conversation. We should all do the show naked’.
“They got me to strip off to my boxers at the end. At least one of them was completely naked and a few of them were partially naked.
“It was just silly stuff. I remember one of the bosses in RTE came in with his son to meet them and they were all sitting there in the studio with no clothes on drinking cans of beer.”
The group will be taking to the stage in Croke Park this summer, and tickets go on sale Monday.
