Jennifer Zamparelli has taken to social media to encourage the Irish public to wear protective face masks while outside.
It comes as the government has launched an awareness campaign for the use of face coverings in public just yesterday.
Sharing a picture on her Instagram page of her and her two children Florence and Enzo, all wearing face masks. Sharing her thoughts on the subject, Jennifer kicked off a debate on why much of the Irish public are choosing not to wear a face-covering.
“Three separate studies found the routine wearing of masks can curb COVID 19 yet nearly 70 % of the population will not wear one when they go out??”

“Is it comfort, is it the look? Why wouldn’t you if it can save lives? Let me know by text 51552” she continued.
The Dancing With The Stars presenter is in full support of the new government enforced campaign around the use of face coverings. The campaign which launched yesterday encourages the use of protective face-coverings in places where it is difficult to practice social distancing, such as in shops or on public transport.
Along with the use of face-masks, the government and health officials are asking the public to continue practicing good hand hygiene and cough etiquette in a bid to curb the virus’s spread. For more on the campaign click here.
