Maura Higgins entered the I’m A Celeb jungle (unsurprisingly) with a bang last week.
The former Love Island contestant is already entertaining viewers with her quick wit and iconic Irish accent.
Maura is even odds on to win the show this year and we can completely understand why. Here’s a few reasons.
Familiarity
Higgins is no stranger to television and this will give the star a huge advantage in I’m a Celeb. Maura has nailed down exactly how she wants to portray herself and viewers absolutely love it.
The reality star has a unique and stand-out personality, unlike some others on the show. From her previous experience on shows such as Love Island, Dancing on Ice and Glow Up, Maura has a serious advantage.

Determination
While Maura and The Reverend had breezy first days upon entering the jungle, the pair were subjected to a seriously disgusting Bushtucker Trial on arrival to the main camp.
Maura did nothing short of amazing in the challenge, finishing every meal including pigs eyeballs, sheep brain and vomit fruit, to name a few. It seems as though Maura will do everything she can to prove herself to viewers… and her campmates. Obsessed.
Confidence
Maura exudes confidence and it’s very clear that she knows that she deserves to win this show.
Nothing beats a woman who knows her own worth, right?

The Luck of the Irish
There is no denying that Irish people adore Maura and she pretty much has the whole country backing her up.
The online support Maura will receive from home will be a huge help in her journey in the jungle, and even though us Irish can’t vote, here’s hoping the Brits see her brilliance too.
Personality
Aside from all other factors, Maura is overall just a genuinely great character and lovely person who doesn’t let people walk over her.
She can stand up for what she believes in while remaining mature and classy which people love to see. She is also absolutely hilarious and has brought so much fun to the camp.
We love you, Queen Maura.
