An Irish actor and American pop star, sounds like a story we’ve heard before, right?
It seems like the spotlight may eventually be lifting off Barry Keoghan and Sabrina Carpenter (who have seemingly split) as another Irish actor is speculated to be dating an American singer.
Normal People star, Paul Mescal has been spotted on various occasions with singer-songwriter, Gracie Abrams. Mescal, 28, and Abrams, 24, were first spotted getting dinner together at Brat, a restaurant in east London.
Some weeks later the rumoured couple were once again spotted on London’s Bond Street.
The Sun reported that the couple were seen separately just minutes apart on the affluent shopping street in London. The tabloid said: “Paul and Gracie look like any other young couple hitting the shops”.
They went on to say: “Paul is a very low-key person, as is Gracie so there was no fanfare and they kept their distance from each other when they were out on the street”.
Over the weekend, they were also pictured together in London, seemingly holding hands.

Gracie Abrams is a 24-year-old singer from Los Angeles. She is the daughter of well-known filmmaker JJ Abrams.

Gracie Abrams’s music career
The American popstar released her debut single Mean It in 2019 since then she has released musical projects called Minor and This Is What It Feels Like.
The musical talent released her debut album Good Riddance in 2023 and has been an opening act for both Taylor Swift’s Eras Tour and Olivia Rodrigo’s Sour Tour. She is also due to open for Swift’s North American leg of the Eras Tour.
The Grammy nominee for Best New Artist embarked on her This Is What It Feels Like tour in 2022 and her Good Riddance tour in 2023. Abrams is due to begin her The Secret of Us Tour in September 2024 following the release of her album of the same name this past June.
The Secret of Us
Abrams released her second album The Secret of Us, on June 21st. The album even features a duet with Taylor Swift titled Us.
Irish fans will get the chance to see Abrams when The Secrets of Us tour comes to Dublin’s 3Arena on March 10th, 2025. Will Paul be in the audience?
