Blonzing is the newest step to add to your makeup routine that will actually, believe it or not, SAVE you time.
I better give a quick explanation. Rather than using blush and bronzer, blonzing works by using a deeper shade of blush in place of bronzer or a warmer shade of bronzer in place of blush, depending on the desired look!
It can make the skin look more natural and prevent the cheeks from looking like a line of bronzer and blush on top of each other, my biggest pet peeve!
During the summer this is also an incredible way to make your makeup look better. You may have noticed before that after a day in the sun, your chest and body will have a gorgeous sun-kissed colour which can oftentimes give the skin a very red undertone.

Then when you apply your regular foundation, you can end up looking like you are wearing the complete wrong shade. This is why it’s important to add back in those red shades.
Our favourite product for this is the Rhode Pocket Blush in the shade Toasted Teddy. It is the perfect muted deep mauve shade with rich undertones that can act as a bronzer/blusher duo.

You want to focus the product on all the places that the sun would naturally hit :
- Tops of cheeks
- Bridge of nose
- Temples
- A little on the forehead and the chin
Spend some extra time blending this into your base and you need it to look extra seamless, adding a glowy cream or liquid highlighter on the very high points of the face afterwards will add an extra sun-kissed look.
Rather than buying new products you could also just mix your cream bronzer and highlighter together and apply them both at once.
But if you want to take a look at some pieces…here are some more options for you!
