Westlife have confirmed their gigs in Pairc Ui Chaoimh have been postponed until August 2021.
The concerts were set to take place in Cork this summer, however due to Covid19 and government restrictions, they’ve have to push them back a year.
Sharing the news on social media, Nicky Byrne said, “It’s with great sadness everybody, but it’s absolutely for the best.
“The health, safety and enjoyment of everyone attending our shows has always been of upmost importance to us.”
He continued, “We will come back stronger than ever before, and on the plus side, it gives us all an extra year to get our dance moves right.”
The shows will now take place on August 27th and 28th 2021, with all tickets valid for the new dates.
Earlier this week, the group enjoyed a virtual reunion via Zoom.
Kian was joined by his lovely wife Jodie, Nicky appeared with wife Georgina and their children, Shane was with Gillian and their kids, and Mark was with his partner Cailean.
Sharing a snap of the gang together, Kian said, “Great fun catching up with the crew last night.
“Missing you all, and can’t wait to do it all again for real.”
