Westlife share plans for new album as they post BTS studio pics

Great news for Westlife fans everywhere, as the band have shared some behind the scenes photos as they get ready to record a new album.

Due to restrictions, Nicky, Kian, Mark and Shane are each recording their parts remotely in makeshift studios, presumably in their own homes.

Sharing snaps of his makeshift studio, Nicky took to Instagram to say: “Day 1 of our new world!!

“Recording remotely with legendary writer/producer Steve Mac @rokstoneprod.

“2 songs done” and finished by adding the hashtags #SeriousTunes #SecretLocation #Excited #NewAlbum.

Cian also took to Instagram to share the news and his own snap of his studio, writing, “Back in studio! @westlife #newmusic #westlife2021.”

Fans flocked to the comments to share their excitement for the upcoming new music, with one writing, “This is literally the most exciting thing in forever” and another said, “Finally, can’t wait to hear it. Can’t we hear a little teaser, please Ki.”

This comes after Mark Feehily announced that he has become Westlife’s ‘Creative Director’ having completed a course in graphic design.

Completing a course over lockdown, Mark said that he has been working on artwork for the band’s album and other upcoming projects, admitting that the venture feels ‘thrilling’.

Chatting with the Daily Star about his new-found hobby, the 40-year-old explained:

“During lockdown I did a course in graphic design, which has been amazing. It’s such a thrilling thing doing this college course. I’ve just been able to enjoy myself doing this.”
