Well-known Irish band The Saw Doctors have been forced to cancel four of their upcoming shows. The gigs were spread all around the country just after Christmas.

The cancellations are due to an unforeseen illness, as band member Davy Carton has damaged his vocal chords. The band shared the disappointing news on their Facebook page.

In the post they said, “The Saw Doctors are sorry to announce the cancellation of the four Irish concerts just after Christmas, i.e Killarney INEC on Dec 27, Athlone Radisson on Dec 28, Galway Seapoint on Dec 29 and New Year’s Eve- due to the illness of Davy Carton who is recovering from damaged vocal chords.

“Because there are no rescheduled dates for the two cancelled Galway dates on Dec 29/31, the Galway promoter has also cancelled The Saw Doctors gig at Seapoint on March 18.

“Refunds are available for all ticket-holders from the point of purchase. We apologise again for the inconvenience caused to fans of the band.”

We hope fans aren’t too put out by the unfortunate news.
