Production on the third season of Wednesday is officially underway in Ireland, with cameras rolling near Dublin and an exciting new addition to the cast.
Jenna Ortega returns in the title role as Wednesday Addams, alongside Catherine Zeta-Jones as Morticia and Luis Guzmán as Gomez.
Among the new faces joining the series is Hollywood favourite Winona Ryder, reuniting with executive producer and director Tim Burton, who previously collaborated with her on Beetlejuice and Edward Scissorhands.
Also joining the ensemble this season are Chris Sarandon, Noah Taylor, Oscar Morgan and Kennedy Moyer.

While previously announced cast member Eva Green will play Ophelia, Morticia Addams’ long-lost sister, a character set to stir up plenty of family drama.
In a statement, showrunners Al Gough and Miles Millar revealed that the gates of Nevermore Academy are opening once again, promising new students, new teachers and even more dark Addams family secrets.
Burton said he is “so excited” to return for season three, adding that the arrival of Ryder, Green, Sarandon and Taylor makes this chapter “extra special”.
The mystery series was previously filmed across Counties Wicklow, Dublin and Offaly for season two, with Gough and Millar describing the Irish locations as “truly magical” and the perfect backdrop for the show.

So, it comes as no surprise, then, that the team has chosen to return to our Emerald Isle once again.
“It adds a sense of timeless beauty, wonder and epic spectacle to the world of Wednesday,” they explained.
“It’s no coincidence that Dracula author Bram Stoker hailed from Dublin, and his stories were inspired by the stories of Irish folklore.”
Netflix has yet to confirm a release date, but with production now in full swing, fans will hopefully not have too long to wait.
