The weather is set to take a turn for the worst after the high temperatures over the weekend.
We enjoyed the warmest weekend of the year so far with highs of up to 20C across the country, but Met Eireann have issued a very different weather forecast for this week.
“It will turn a bit cooler from Wednesday onwards as winds turn westerly.Temperatures will be closer to average, between 10C and 13C. Towards the end of the week night-time frost becomes likely.”
Although there is no snow conditions forecast just yet, the UK is expected to be hit with wintry spells later on in the week.
A forecaster said: “It will turn a bit cooler from Wednesday onwards as winds turn westerly, bringing typical April weather with sunshine and showers for the second half of the week.
“The showers will become widespread and heavy during the afternoons and evenings afternoon. Temperatures will be closer to average, between 10C and 13C. Towards the end of the week night-time frost becomes likely.”
Lets hope there’s more good weather to come.
