Eamonn Holmes was live on the news desk this morning on Sky News Sunrise, when a researcher from Ryan Tubridy’s RTE Radio One show tried to reach him.
This usually wouldn’t have been a problem – but Eamon never thought to put his phone on silent this morning and the ring tone blasted through the studio, live on air.
The Irish call came up on his phone while Eamonn was mid-chat about some of his favourite famous interviews – the irony – and he let the call ring through for a minute before mumbling, “Go away.”
Eamonn made a brief appearance on Celebrity Big Brother last night, and that’s what the conversation was thought to be about.

Continuing his chat on Sky News, the presenter said that Irish talk shows and interviews are “the best in the world as they are so relaxed,” so we doubt this little incident will put him off any future chats with the Irish broadcaster.
