We finally have a glimpse into Andrew Scott’s new Netflix series, Ripley, and it’s safe to say we’re already hooked!

Yes, the full trailer for the mystery show which also stars the likes of Dakota Fanning and Johnny Flynn-starring has been released ahead of the limited series’ arrival on Netflix next month.

Releasing the trailer, Netflix said: “Tom Ripley, a grifter scraping by in early 1960s New York, is hired by a wealthy man to travel to Italy to try to convince his vagabond son to return home.

“Tom’s acceptance of the job is the first step into a complex life of deceit, fraud and murder.”

Andrew plays the notorious literary con man first introduced in The Talented Mr. Ripley, while Johnny takes on the role of Dickie Greenleaf, the wealthy loafer who Ripley is attempting to lure home.

Dakota then plays Marge Sherwood, Dickie’s girlfriend, who suspects darker motives underlie Tom’s affability.

The limited series is based on Patricia Highsmith’s bestselling Tom Ripley novels, so fans are sure to be delighted with the news.

The eight-episode series will launch on 4th April 2024 which means it’s just around the corner, really!

Most recently, fans were left disappointed when Andrew failed to be nominated for an Oscar for his heartbreaking role in All of Us Strangers.

He was also noticeably absent from the Best Actor rundown in this year’s BAFTA’s.

Robbed, ROBBED he was!

Could Ripley see the Irishman land some nominations? Only time will tell…
